During this socially challenging time, so complex like never before, when a global pandemic has stopped the majority of the market activities world-wide, Benzi did not stop: in addition to the historic headquarter in Inzago and the American and French branches (this last one has celebrated 20 years of activity last September), in March 2021 a new productive plant has been opened in Cassano d’Adda. This new plant along with a futuristic painting system completely automated and connected with the ERP and MES company systems also hosts the Group’s Sales and Executive offices.
Alessandro Benzi and Antonio Cocola, respectively Vice President and CEO of the Benzi Group in the days before one of the worldwide most important exhibitions for this industry, take stock of the situation: Alessandro Benzi states that “Benzi is living a very dynamic moment of its history, evolving on different levels with relevant technological improvements and our staff is participating with a proactive approach contributing to the foundation of an atmosphere of innovation…Our new plant in Cassano d’Adda allows us to experiment new technologies based on the idea of a smart factory which implies a variety of components connected to a network and among themselves: from the infrastructures to the equipment, from the plant gates to the machining equipment…We are also implementing an internal task force that will work directly in contact with Quality Control aiming to improve staff’s knowledge and skills.”
As regards EIMA 2021, the International Exposition of Machinery for Agriculture and Gardening that in few days will take place in Bologna, Antonio Cocola confirms : “The pandemic did not stop farmers nor the Ag industry: despite the big challenge of managing our company through an unprecedented global health emergency, and despite the supply chain critical situation that has been lasting for several months, the demand for agricultural machinery components is still very high; we are fully committed to product innovation and investments in human resources as well as new production technologies; without a doubt being back to EIMA strongly symbolizes the common desire for a real fresh start of the traditional trade and marketing activities and a boost for the growth of our sales network. Even though we foresee a more contained attendance compared to the last editions and possibly fewer international visitors than usual, we are pleased to be able to meet again with our customers, collaborators and industry operators.”
